1/29/2021 - New stuff and some new news!

​

     First, some news:

​

     POWER SUPPLIES:

We have made the company decision to no longer include or stock power supplies. This was a tough decision, but ultimately, we are choosing this to save our customers some money as we would have to raise our prices across the board to cover our costs to have power supplies shipped to us and to stock them. The other major issue with them is they cause the price of postage to nearly double in almost every case as they add weight and size to our shipping boxes, forcing us to have to use the next tier in size for shipping boxes. This changes the price from around $8 for a small flat rate box (plus shipping and handling) to over $14 for a medium flat rate box, a difference in price that almost covers the price to order a power supply itself from Amazon or eBay. That plus the difference in cost we'd have to add to cover stocking it ourselves makes it a much better deal for you, our customers, to just order your own power supply. You would wind up getting the supply for almost 1/3 of what we would have to charge to include them.

     So, we are going to add a link to each item we offer with a suggested source for the recommended power supply for your model kit in an effort to save you as much as we can as well as cut down on our own costs and space. There are basically only 3 models of power supplies we recommend anyhow, so hopefully this will not cause too much inconvenience.

     NEW AND UPDATED KITS:

     

     Now, for the fun stuff... We have updated several of our lighting kits to new designs and technology to add even more effects and improve product performance. The following kits have all be redesigned and updated:

     - 1:350 TOS MICRO -

      The new version of the 1:350 scale TOS MICRO SERIES kit is a serious upgrade from the previous version. It now includes the new SFX 1:350 TOS SIGNATURE SERIES BUSSARD BOARDS as part of the standard kit. We have also rewritten the effects program to now include an integrated warp/impulse effect, phasers, and photon torpedoes all on the same board for maximum effects at a minimal price! We guarantee this board will blow away all other boards and kits in its class in the industry, offering more available effects at a substantially lower cost!

     -  REFIT MICRO -

     The SFX REFIT MICRO SERIES kit has also gotten a facelift! It includes the same great effects as the previous version, but on a new circuit board with a clearer layout. This is a perfect companion board to the TOS MICRO SERIES as the layouts are very similar and both will give you a stunning amount of beautiful effects at a very reasonable cost!

     -  SFX TINY/PICO SERIES -

     Our tiniest boards have gotten a facelift as well that adds more effects outs and still keeps prices low!

     -  SFX REFIT SIGNATURE SERIES -

     The flagship of any fleet, this board is simply the best on the market, bar-none! Too many effects to list here. Go check out the page and our YouTube channel to see what all this amazing kit has to offer.

     - SFX MILLENIUM FALCON -

     New lighting and effects kit for the Millenium Falcon! Features a startup sequence with color-changing engine effects, turbo laser cannon firing effect, and several sounds from the films featuring the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy!

     COMING SOON:

     We have several new products nearing completion that will be ready for Spring 2021.

     -  SFX TOS SIGNATURE SERIES -

     This will be the flagship product for the 1:350 (and other scale) TOS Enterprise model. Like our SFX REFIT SIGNATURE SERIES, it will be LOADED with amazing effects and sound and multiple modes all on a remote control. This will blow away all the other kits in its class on the market!

     - SFX TREK 2009 SIGNATURE SERIES -

     For the affectionately-called "JJPrise," This will be a fully loaded flagship effects kit that will make your Enterprise from the Kelvin timeline jump to life! As with our other SIGNATURE SERIES line, this kit will feature multiple modes, full lighting and sound, remote control, and the new SFX TREK '09 SIGNATURE SERIES BUSSARD BOARDS with screen-accurate counter-rotating effects!

     - SFX 1701-A SIGNATURE SERIES -

     The companion for the SFX REFIT SIGNATURE SERIES kit, this will be adapted to feature the second three movies from the original cast. Like the REFIT version, there will be modes for each film that include sounds and effects unique to those movies! Target availablity:

     - SFX K'TINGA SIGNATURE SERIES -

     Another in our fully loaded flagship line, this kit will feature a startup sequence, full lighting and sound, multiple integrated effects, and more to give you the ultimate enemy ship display!

     Another in our mid-line of effects kits to offer maximum accuracy and effects and fun at an affordable price!

     Our effects kit for the beautiful new Discovery take on the classic Enterprise.

     Finally, a kit for the famous 1701-D! This will be a lovely kit to make your TNG era Enterprise come to life!

8/10/2020  - BIG EASY MODELING SOLUTIONS BECOMES STELLAR EFFECTS MODELING SOLUTIONS!

​

     Same great product designs plus all new ones and an all new business structure designed to bring you much better service! Big Easy was a great company with the most innovative and accurate lighting effects available on the market. But it was time to transition to a new business model that is ready to step up and bring you better service and faster order fulfillment! Keep an eye out on the site as we transition over. You'll begin to see new layouts and new designs as well as new materials and, of course, all new products for your models!

      We're just now in the early stages of the transition so, for the time being, you may still see a lot of Big Easy logos on products we still offer as we clear out inventory and get things moved over. The official launch is scheduled for around September of 2020. Please bear with us as we sort out the old site and work to build a new one. We will take a limited number of new orders, but please understand that, until the official launch, we might be running a little slower than normal as we spend the necessary time to reorganize the site and materials so we can better service your needs going forward.
